Clarecare spends about €7 million a year in order to provide a broad range of support services to the people of County Clare. Funding cutbacks have put many of these services under strain.
The primary source of funding is the Health Services Executive, Tusla Child and Family Agency and other statutory funders.
Additional funds come from various Trust Funds, private donations, Church-gate collections, collection boxes, bequests, and voluntary donations.
The Thrift Shops are also an important source of funds.
Many workgroups, organisations and individuals run fundraising events for Clarecare. Marathons, swims, walks, quizzes and concerts all raise much needed funds.
Clarecare is approved under the Scheme of Tax Relief for Donations to Eligible Charities to claim tax relief on donations, by PAYE taxpayers, of €250 and over. You can donate by cash, cheque or bank draft to Clarecare, Harmony Row, Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland.
We use Paypal to process our online donations. You can donate by clicking on the Donate via Paypal button below. Clarecare can claim tax relief on donations, by PAYE taxpayers, of €250 and over.
The thrift shops in Ennis and Killaloe sell quality clothes and furniture at reasonable prices. All the items have been donated by the public and the income from these shops helps to fund some Clarecare activities. The stock is added to daily and you never know what treasure you will find!
