Due to the continuation of Level 5 restrictions, Clarecare’s Thrift Shops located in Killaloe and Ennis, will remain closed. We will be following Public Health & Safety guidelines and will reopen when we are advised it is safe to do so.

Please do not leave donations outside.  Unfortunately, during this time, we are unable to deliver/collect any donated items of furniture.

Services

As a Clarecare office, we hold details of the entire Clarecare services county wide, and can refer a member of the public to the appropriate person or service.

The Killaloe office is used extensively by Clarecare staff. Meetings between clients and various professionals outside Clarecare are also facilitated in the Killaloe offices.

Meeting rooms are available for community groups.

Advocacy Service for Parents of Children in Care

The Advocacy Service provides support for parents whose children are in the care of the Child and Family Agency, Tusla – foster care or residential care – in Co. Clare. The Advocacy Service aims to support parents to be actively and positively involved in their children’s lives while they are in care by providing:

  • Direct one-to-one support based on identified and agreed needs.
  • Facilitation of a parents’ monthly group meeting.
  • Information sessions with input from guest speakers on relevant topics.
  • Preparation for, and accompaniment to, relevant meetings.
  • Information on the Child in Care process.
  • Links to other appropriate services that may be of benefit to parents.

The service has an office base in both Ennis and Killaloe but staff are open to meeting parents anywhere that best suits the parents. Contact Ennis Office for further information and referral forms for the Advocacy Service.

Home Care Service

Clarecare operates the Home Care service in Co. Clare on behalf of the HSE.

Thrift Shop

In our thrift shop, we sell clothes, books and household items which have been donated by the local community. The items for sale are always good quality, sometimes even new and are reasonably priced. Opening hours  9-4
