Information About Our Services
The Information and Tracing service is available to adopted people, birth parents who have placed children for adoption, those who were fostered/boarded out and birth siblings and relatives. Professional support, preparation and intermediary services are offered to those who wish to obtain information and /or have contact with their relatives. Support and preparation is offered to families who have adopted children from abroad and who are considering a search for information and possible contact with their children’s birth family.
Birth and Adoptive families are supported in the exchange of information through a “post box” service and with “open adoption” meetings.
Individualised Family and parenting programmes and therapeutic interventions are offered to enhance parent/child relationships.
Peer group support and adoption specific workshops are facilitated.
Confidential Adoption Counseling is available for women who are pregnant and those considering Adoption. The service offers individual support in the ante and post-natal period. Where adoption is chosen, continuing support is provided to the parents during and after the adoption process as required.
